Eligibility Criteria: Career Opportunities
Senior Resident (Three Year Scheme)
Qualification: MBBS with a PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in the concerned specialty, or MBBS with two years of working experience in the concerned department. Preference will be given to PG Degree qualified candidates.
Age Limit: Not to exceed 45 years as on the date of interview (December 16, 2025). Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per rules.
Tenure: One year on contract, extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance and yearly renewal.
Full Time / Part Time Specialist
Qualification: PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in the concerned specialty, registered with MCI. Preference will be given to PG qualified candidates.
Experience:
For PG Degree holders: 3 years of experience after acquiring the PG Degree.
For PG Diploma holders: Minimum of 5 years of experience after acquiring the PG Diploma.
Age Limit: Not to exceed 67 years as on the date of interview (December 16, 2025).
Tenure: One year on contract or till a regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. For Full-Time Specialists, it is extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance and yearly renewal.
Remuneration for ESIC Jobs
Senior Resident
Emoluments: Pay band in Level 11 plus other allowances as applicable under ESIC (Staff conditions of service Regulation, 1959).
Deductions: Rs. 1,350/- will be deducted if the SRs possess only a Diploma, and Rs. 2,250/- if the SR concerned does not possess a Diploma/Degree.
Full Time Specialist
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 1,27,141/- per month, inclusive of transport allowance.
Duty/Working Hours: 9:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M for Monday to Friday & 9:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M for Saturday.
Part Time Specialist
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 1,00,000/- only per month.
Emergency Call Charges: Rs. 20,000/- for visiting charges in case of emergency calls.
Additional Remuneration: Rs. 1,200 for every additional hour beyond 16 Hrs/week (additional hours of work to be justified).
Duty/Working Hours: 4 hours/per day & 4 days in a week.

Important General Conditions for Recruitment 2025
The recruitment is purely on a contractual basis, and selected candidates will have no claim for regularization of service.
Selected candidates must join immediately or within 15 days from the date of receiving the offer of appointment.
Candidates must be registered with the Karnataka Medical Council or MCI before joining the post.
No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview or for joining the post.
Candidates already in Government service must submit a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from their employer at the time of the interview.
Hostel accommodation, quarters, uniform, or transport allowances will not be provided.
Selected specialists must have a professional indemnity policy.
For Senior Residents, a security deposit of Rs. 95,000/- is required, payable via DD/Bankers Cheque in favor of 'ESIC A/c No 1' payable at Bengaluru. Rs. 30,000/- will be appropriated if a candidate resigns/terminates within one year.
Senior Residents must give one month's notice before resignation.
Private practice is strictly prohibited for selected candidates who receive a non-practicing allowance.
Candidates who have already worked as a Senior Resident under the 3-year Central Senior Residency scheme for 3 years are not eligible to apply.
On selection, candidates must open an SB Account in the State Bank of India.
